When you go to a search engine and try to find something, you type in a word,
or several words, and click the Search button. The search engine then looks
in its index for those words.
It’s an old concept: You should think like your prey. Companies often make mistakes
with their keywords because they pick keywords based on how they —
rather than their customers — think about their products or services. You
have to stop thinking that you know what customers call your products. Do
some research to find out what consumers really do call your products.
